Debi Çakar, who graduated from Açı High School in 2016, completed her undergraduate studies at Bahçeşehir University, where she was awarded a full scholarship, pursuing a double major in Industrial Engineering and Economics and Finance. Throughout her university years, she began her professional journey by working at various institutions alongside her studies. In particular, her work at Roche enabled her to gain valuable experience at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
Currently completing her fourth year at SESTEK and serving as a Senior Product Owner, our alumna leads the development of AI-powered communication and automation technologies and works on products that contribute to organizations’ transformation through no-code artificial intelligence solutions.
Alongside her professional career, Debi enjoys discovering the world by experiencing different cultures and incorporating the discipline and resilience she gains from sports into her life. She also takes pleasure in designing product interfaces, working on user experience, and writing about ideas in areas that interest her. For Debi, creating at the intersection of technology and design is a distinct source of motivation.
Debi emphasizes that the most valuable outcome of her education at Açı High School was gaining strong principles that guide her toward becoming an individual with independent judgment, developing the ability to question, and finding the courage to discover her own identity by exploring the world. She notes that this perspective has been a guiding force in every aspect of her life. Believing that finding one’s own path often comes through exploring different fields and sometimes through challenging or unexpected experiences, she aims to continue discovering and creating new things without losing her sense of curiosity.
